A Chartered Accountant with over 18 years in financial roles. Joined
BOOM Logistics in June 2007 from Australian Air Express, a freight
and logistics company owned jointly by Qantas and Australia Post.
At AAE she held the role of CFO and Company Secretary for four years.
Prior to AAE, Ms. MacPherson spent 13 years at KPMG in their offices
in Edinburgh (U.K.). Hong Kong and Melbourne.
At BOOM Ms. MacPherson assumed responsibility for:

Peter O’Shannessy
Chief Operating Officer
Mr O’Shannessy joined BOOM Logistics in February 2008. He brings a depth of experience in logistics management and leadership, which includes co-ordinating and motivating separate operational teams across Australia, to greater performance and accountability.
His experience in a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, construction and industrial maintenance ensures leadership is underpinned by a valuable understanding of practicalities and a priority on effective relationship management.
Rosanna Hammond
General Manager, Human Resources
Ms Hammond joined BOOM in March 2008, having come from a multi industry background with particular experience in the logistics sector.
Her primary activity is to develop BOOM’s first major Human Resources strategy and implement processes procedures for functions of; Recruitment, Training and Development, Industrial Relations, Performance Reporting and Succession Planning. The roles have become vital for the expanded BOOM organization, particularly as there is a heavy involvement with customers which are major corporations and skilled people are in short supply.
Paul Martinez
Chief Information Officer
Paul Martinez comes to the business as CIO with a background in both consulting and industrial services, having been CIO and Director of Strategy for Brambles when it operated four global business streams with operations in over 40 countries around the world. Paul’s breadth of experience and exceptionally strong process methodology will ensure our systems and process platform will deliver for our customers, people and importantly our shareholders.
Tony Spassopoulos
Director, Sales and Marketing
Tony Spassopoulos, has a background in equipment hire and industrial services having had both profit centre and customer facing roles. Tony was General Manager of CHEP Asia Pacific - Reusable Plastic Containers. He began his career at Wreckair Hire, holding profit centre management positions within the Brambles group. With strong business acumen Tony will continue to develop our value proposition and will sharpen our focus on forward planning, major projects and integrated offerings to our customers. |
Terese Withington
General Manager, BOOM Sherrin
Ms. Withington joins BOOM Sherrin following 5 years of service with United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where she was responsible for a business unit that generated $280 million revenue and employed 828 staff.
Prior to this time, Ms. Withington spent 11 years at Brambles Limited in various management roles in the Wreckair division and equipment division.

Glenn Wright
General Manager, Queensland.
Mr. Wright joined BOOM Logistics Queensland in March 2005, following 18 years in the Mobile crane and industrial services industry-15 of those years being with Brambles Industrial Services. In the past 21 years, Mr Wright has worked throughout Australia with 10 years in Tasmania, 5 years in the Queensland mining environment in Central Qld and the past 6 years in Brisbane. Positions have included SEQ Regional Manager, Qld Sales Manager, Qld Operations Manager and now appointment as the Qld General Manager.
This appointment of an internal BOOM logistics person brings with it 21 years experience in the crane industry and 3 years operational knowledge of the BOOM Logistics business. Mr. Wright brings to the role strong leadership, sales, safety and operational skills.

Peter O’Sullivan
General Manager, Southern Region, WA.
Peter joined BOOM in October 2008, after a 17 year career in transport and logistics, ten of them with Cleanaway and seven with Pioneer Quarries, Concrete and Asphalt. (Now Hanson’s).
His responsibilities and territory cover finance and administration for WA, general management of Welshpool and Naval base depots as well as Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton. He is based at BOOMs WA offices in Welshpool. Peter is a Certified Practising Accountant.

Tim Hipworth
General Manager, Northern Region, WA.
Tim joined BOOM after an eight year career with Brambles in the north west of Western Australia., largely based in Port Hedland. He held various management positions, relating to crane hire and logistics activities.
Most recently with that group (now known as BIS Industrial Services), Tim was General Manager, North West WA. His background is ideal for BOOM and customers know that Tim understands the local conditions.
